This Emergency First Aid at Work course is taking place at the WCT head office in Brixham, South Devon. The course is on the Regulated Qualifications Framework, with the qualification being awarded by Qualifications Network UK. It covers the essentials of first aid at work and is ideal for those working in an office or low-risk workplace, or even at home.

All candidates must complete the practical observation and written tests during the day. You must be able to demonstrate first aid to someone lying on the floor — i.e. administer Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation. There is a short multi choice question paper at the end of the course. All efforts are made to ensure any needs of the candidate are met in order to ensure a fair method of assessment — for any additional medical or learning needs, pleasae indicate this when booking the course.

This Emergency First Aid at Work EFAW course will cover the minimum of:

• Role of the first aider
• Accident reporting
• Primary assessments
• Administering first aid to a casualty who is breathing normally
• Administering first aid to an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
• CPR and Choking
• Wounds & Bleeding
• Shock
• Burns
• Other topics as may be required for your work place
