This qualification is for teachers and assistants working with children in an outdoor learning environment. The course has been specially developed by forest school experts and highly experienced first aid trainers, giving you the skills and confidence to deal with situations that may arise with children and young people in an outdoor setting.

This course is recognised by OFSTED and covers all the requirements as set out by HSE and IOL (Institute of Outdoor Learning).

Blended Learning

Our World Class Training ‘blended learning’ courses allow you to complete part of the content online, part in-person. This flexible approach allows you to learn at your own pace! Our findings show that retention of knowledge and skills are improved by using this method.

The blended learning approach is delivered by online training which must be completed prior to an assessment day. Allow at least 6 hours of total online learning time. Note that this does not need to be completed in one sitting — you can come back to it at any time. The in-person session is comprised of one full day of practical scenarios and an assessment, allowing you to demonstrate your skills and knowledge to a qualified WCT trainer.
