Outdoor First Aid Course — 2-day / 16 hour
This course is designed for those spending time in the outdoors: skiers, snowboarders, hikers, mountaineers, climbers, swimmers… Whether you’re an activity leader, snowsports instructor or outdoor enthusiast, it’s important to know what to do in case something goes wrong when you’re in the wilderness!
Attend 2 days (16 hours) in-person to receive an Outdoor First Aid qualification. The certificate is valid for 3 years. It is recommended that annual CPD should be undertaken to keep refreshed.
Our Outdoor First Aid course gives you the skills needed for situations where you may be some distance away from immediate help. It offers more comprehensive content than the Emergency Outdoor First Aid (12 hour) course. Part of this qualification also covers the entire content of the Emergency First Aid at Work course, as outlined in the HSE (First aid) Regulations 1981 and the HSE (First-Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
As this course covers the HSE requirement for the Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certification, this certificate can be added to your booking as an extra. If you would like to add this qualification to your portfolio, please add this product at the check out booking process when prompted.
The trainers.
Our trainers are all ‘Outdoor Instructors’ with various governing bodies, so their knowledge and experience in this field ensures you have the best practical skills for dealing with accidents in an open environment.
On successful completion of the course we will send your certificate via email in a PDF format.
Please note: If you are unsure which type of course you need, find out more on our resources page.

“WCT trainer Alex has a superb depth of knowledge in snowsports and has a great teaching manner that is inclusive and entertaining. I would thoroughly recommend taking a world class training course.”
