This course is designed for those spending time in the outdoors: skiers, snowboarders, hikers, mountaineers, climbers, swimmers… Whether you’re an activity leader, snowsports instructor or outdoor enthusiast, it’s important to know what to do in case something goes wrong when you’re in the wilderness!
Our Emergency Outdoor First Aid course gives you the skills needed for situations where you may be some distance away from immediate help. Part of this qualification covers the entire content of the Emergency First Aid at Work course, as outlined in the HSE (First aid) Regulations 1981 and the HSE (First-Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
This blended learning course, combining online learning with an in-person assessment, is accepted and recognised by many outdoor governing bodies. If applicable, please check your requirements with the relevant governing body to ensure this course fulfils your needs. We can confirm the following snowsports governing bodies accept this course: BASI, IASI, SSE.

About Blended Learning
With this Blended Learning option, you can learn online at your own pace before attending an in-person session with practical scenarios and an assessment.
Once you complete your booking, log in details for the online content will be sent to you automatically by email (please note this can show up in your junk/spam folder). Allow around 8 hours of total online learning time. This must be completed before the practical day.

Our trainers are all outdoor instructors working with various outdoor governing bodies, so their extensive knowledge and experience in this field ensures you receive the best practical skills for dealing with accidents in an open environment.
