We have developed our blended first aid course to enable effective use of your time and ensuring everyone’s safety during the Covid crisis by limiting in-person contact. The blended learning approach is delivered by online training including an evening zoom session of engagement. This ensures the learning outcomes from the online unit are met before attending the practical sessions and assessment.
Part of this qualification also meets the requirements for Emergency First Aiders. This is outlined in the Health and Safety (First aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
This course has been developed for people teaching children in an outdoor learning environment.
Firstly you need to book your date and venue, after which you will receive your log in details for the e-learning modules. Once completed and two days prior to your practical session a link to a short zoom session for FAQ’s and a quick quiz to ensure understanding. Then finally, attend your practical and assessment day to cover the requirements for HSE and abide by regulations for the course delivery.

Debbie runs ‘Taking Maths Outdoors’ A specialist in Outdoor Learning. Her range of books featured here, is a great compliment to your skill set when teaching outdoors.
Authors Deborah Lambert (teacher, lecturer and ‘Taking Maths Outdoors’ outdoor learning consultant), Michelle Roberts (deputy headteacher and director of Wild Tribe outdoor learning) were involved with the Natural Connections demonstration project, supporting teachers to embed outdoor learning in schools in Cornwall.
Sue Waite (former research fellow of Plymouth Institute of Education, outdoor learning specialist and author) led that project which found that one of principal barriers to teaching outdoors was a lack of teacher confidence. The books were created to support teacher confidence in linking outdoor activities to curriculum objectives and to save valuable planning time!
So rest assured, your Forest and Beach School First Aid course with ‘World Class Training’ will cover all you need for your requirements to teach in an outdoor learning situation.
On successful completion of the course we will send your certificate via email in a PDF format.
