Safeguarding and Child Protection for Snowsports Instructors

The Safeguarding course is aimed at snowsports professionals, including those working with BASI (British Association of Snowsports Instructors) or IASI (Irish Association of Snowsports Instructors). It is a required part of the snowsports instructor course.

This course is BASI and IASI accepted and approved

COURSE DURATION: 40 – 60 Minutes.

The course has specific references to aspects of working within the snowsports environment. It is specifically created for the snowsports industry. As such, it is far more relevant than a generic safeguarding children course.

With the easy to follow structure and informative modules, you will gather new information and learn the basics of safeguarding children in the snowsports environment. You will receive a digital certificate on completion.

Please note:

• You have 14 days to complete the course from the date of purchase
• You need to score 80% in the final exam
• You have unlimited number of attempts to complete the course
• You will receive a reminder email 3 days before the expiry, if you have not completed the course beforehand. 
• In order to prevent malpractice, you cannot use the same email to log into the site to order an additional course for another person. Instead, you will need to create a new account with a different email address. Please see below for group rates.
  

 

You will receive a reminder should you need to, or wish to refresh. Please see notes on BASI FAQ’s below for an example of why you may need to update:

“Although a current Safeguarding Children module is not currently required to keep your BASI licence valid, employers may ask for proof that your knowledge in this area is up-to-date, especially if you are going to be working with children. Completing regular refreshers is a good way to do this.”
